Resurrectional Apolytikion
The stone that had been sealed before Your tomb by the Jews and the soldiers guarding did watch o'er Your pure and sacred body. O Savior, the third day You arose, and unto all the world did You give life whereby all the heavenly powers did proclaim that You are the giver of life. Glory unto our resurrected Christ. Glory unto Your Kingdom. Glory to Your dispensation, O You alone Who love all.
Apolytikion for Stephen the New
O blessed Stephen, your training in ascetical life on the mountain and the power of the Cross made you capable of routing your spiritual enemies. By your courage in battle and your strong faith, you defeated Copronymos. For both these reasons, God has crowned you with immortal life, O martyr among the Saints, Stephen, worthy of all praise!
Apolytikion of the Church
Facing danger at sea and fearful persecution, you became a chosen vessel of the Savior. With your sermons you enlightened the nations, and to the Athenians you revealed the unknown God. Teacher of the nations, St. Paul the Apostle, protector of us all: keep us who honor you safe from every trial and danger.
