When you descended to the realm of death You as life immortal rendered to Hades a mortal blow by Your all radiant dignity. And when You from infernal depths and the darkness below did raise the dead. Apolytikion for Afterfeast of the Presentation of Our Lord and Savior in the Temple
Lady full of grace, rejoice, O Virgin Theotokos, for Christ our God, the Sun of righteousness has risen from you and He illumined those in darkness. Let us praise in hymns the all-lauded bride of Christ,* Catherine, the guardian of Sinai,* who is our help and our support;* for by the power of the Spirit she silenced brilliantly* the nobility of liars.* And now that she has been crowned as a Martyr,* she seeks for all Great Mercy.
